Our Story

Faith Alive Christian Centre actually started out as Shekinah Christian Centre Pentecostal Church back on September 16th, 1984.  The first service was held at Westwood High School, which is now Morning Star Senior School, and the church office was a rental space on the lower level of Westwood Mall.  It wasn’t until 1987 that Shekinah Christian Centre found a more permanent home at 3687 Nashua Drive.

Almost a decade later, in 1996, the name was changed to Faith Alive Christian Centre and ground breaking work began at our current home here at 3595 Nashua Drive.  Building from the ground up took some time, but Faith Alive Christian Centre was officially dedicated on June 23rd, 2002.  We were blessed to have the Superintendent of the Western District of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada preach the sermon of dedication and one of the founding members gave a vote of thanks.
